Aoshima is a small island located in the southern part of Miyazaki Prefecture. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge and is home to one of the most scenic shrines in Kyushu. The lush subtropical vegetation covering the island creates a striking contrast with the surrounding ocean.

Aoshima Shrine:

Aoshima Shrine is dedicated to Yamasachi-hiko, a deity from Japanese mythology. The shrine sits at the heart of the island, surrounded by dense jungle-like vegetation of subtropical plants. Walking through the torii gates and along the stone path feels like entering another world. The shrine is especially popular as a power spot and draws many visitors seeking good fortune in marriage and safe travels.

Kochi City

Kochi is on the souther coast of Shikoku island. The prefecture has beautiful rivers, lush greenery mountains. In summer, it is the best season to enjoy the nature. Since the place is facing the ocean, fish is very fresh and tasty.

Hirome Ichiba (Market):

Hirome Ichiba is the biggest market where the local people and the tourists can enjoy in Kochi City. The market has about 60 shops and restaurants. Of course, we can eat seared bonito, Katsuo-no-tataki, which is very popular in Kochi city. Not only this tasty fish, also various kinds of food such as beef, pork, Italian food, french food and many more can be eaten there.

Matsue, Shimane

Matsue city is the capital city in Shimane prefecture, the eastern Japan. You can enjoy the historical atmosphere in this town.

Hattori Coffee, Cafe:

The local coffee place called Hattori Coffee in Matsue, Shimane was founded in 1981. The cafe has been loved locally in Matsue. The breakfast is delicious, but also the atmosphere in the cafe is very good. It must be very good to read a newspaper, a book, chat with your family or friends.

Matsuyama, Shikoku

On your way to Matsuyama Castle Ropeway from Okaido, downtown of Matsuyama, you can see a beautiful Japanese style cafe called mustakivi. The interior design of the cafe is beautiful. I felt so cozy at the cafe. Japanese sweets, Yokan, sweet beans jelly, in the cafe is very delicious. As you may know, Ehime prefecture is well known for orange. The cafe has the Yokan of orange. I like it. Taking a rest there must be nice in your vacation.

If you are a big fan of noodle, one of the food you shouldn’t miss in Okinawa is Okinawa Soba (noodle). It’s Okinawa local noodle. There are many Okinawa Soba’s restaurants in Okinawa. This soba made from wheat flour. One of Okinawa soba, Soki Soba, has stwed pork spare ribs (Sedond one).

Mihama American Village:

There are many restaurants and shops in Mihama American Village. It was developed after United States Forces Japan gave the area back in 1981. The area is still developing to built shopping are and hotel. Today, many tourists come here to enjoy shopping and foods. One of the place I’d like to reccomend is Timeless Chocolate. The shop is “Bean to Bar Chocolate”, which means their chocolate is fully controled to produce from beans to chocolate.

Okinawa prefecutre is the southern islands of Japan. It takes around two and half hours from Tokyo to Naha-city in Okinawa by airplane. The beautiful aqueriaum, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, is located at the north part of Okinawa. It takes two hours by car from Naha-city. Some bus compnaies opertate the service to the aquarium from Naha city. The admission fee is 850 Yen for a adult. Normally three hours are enough to see this place. Their highlite is Whale Shark. This place try to breed whale sharks, which is never succeed to be bred artificially in the world.
