Kochi City
Kochi is on the souther coast of Shikoku island. The prefecture has beautiful rivers, lush greenery mountains. In summer, it is the best season to enjoy the nature. Since the place is facing the ocean, fish is very fresh and tasty.
Hirome Ichiba (Market):
Hirome Ichiba is the biggest market where the local people and the tourists can enjoy in Kochi City. The market has about 60 shops and restaurants. Of course, we can eat seared bonito, Katsuo-no-tataki, which is very popular in Kochi city. Not only this tasty fish, also various kinds of food such as beef, pork, Italian food, french food and many more can be eaten there.
Imoya Kinjiro, cafe:
Imoya-Kinjiro is the Japanese sweet potato shop. The company was founded in Kochi in 1952. The cafe at the shop in Kochi serves some sweets and high quality coffee. People can be relaxed there and enjoy chatting with friends and family.
Kochi Castle:
From Hirome Ichiba, you can walk to Kochi Castle. From Castle tower which still remains, we can view the entire Kochi city.
Makino Botanical Garden:
Tomitaro Makino was a pioneer Japanese botanist know as “Father of Japanese Botany”. The botanic garden was establish for his greatest achievements. The garden is very huge, but we can not miss the green house. Inside of the green house, you can see many flowers which are beautifully maintained.
